We recently dismantled a Oracle StorageTek SL8500 Tape Library, our client took the unit offline 1/17/18.

We had a video from Oracle to reference how to take the unit apart.  We kept all hardware, screws, bolts, plastic clips, etc.   We also ed the link below to assist in the removal process.
